Okay, ive been looking at the game alot, and too me it seems like they are mixing these to games into one AWSOME game.

Team Fortress 2 + Mirror's Edge + Bad Company 2.

If you look at brink screenshots, you can totally see this!

Holy crap! I am totally seeing the mirror's edge part in this. The movement resembles that game exactly!

How sad indeed. While I am looking forward to this game (And that's because of the awesome customization options) I have to say that I am saddened if the way this game was created/thought of was to merely put 3 or 4 games together in one game. Just doesn't seem like an original idea to me if that's the case.

I'm not saying that's the case, I'm just saying I'm disappointed if it is.

If the way they came up with creating this game was this scenario:

Developer: I have an idea, let's just combine TF2, Mirror's Edge, and Battlefield Bad Company 2 into one game. It'll be awesome!

I will be disappointed.

But, if the scenario was this:

Developer: Let's create a game where people will not only be able to run and gun, but be able to climb and move freely, as well as have massive customization options and friendly and revolutionary online play.

I will be happy.

I hope I explained that alright.

No, Enemy Territory Quake Wars. Are you forgetting I rent a lot of games? I rented it and played it. It's story mode is similar to this. When you go campaign there are people there instead of AI. It's a lot of fun.

There isn't really much that much reality relayed into the game. Because if it was me working in as a tech guy, I would pay much attention to the flow of the game, not the appeal. For some reason I don't like the way they portrayed the actual parkour style of it since it is first person when doing so.

I would make it seamless from first person into 3rd with a nice ink-splash kind of transtition.

That would get annoying tho in my opinion.... because if your doing alot of jumping and stuff
there would be too many transitions and you would lose focus.

Say your goign to jump on to a building when theres a dude following u. Whil u jump BOOM Transition, and you have no way to shoot at the guy until ur done jumping. In other words, that would be pretty bad for your way of killing. That would destroy the aspect of SMART

There should be more area, because with that aspect while you're into that transition another aspect of SMART should kick in. To where you solely focus on sprinting around your environment in order to make yourself harder to hit. It should be an option to either run with gun in hand or not.

That was just an example map tho i think. Either way its not like mw2 were its a secluded map. Itll be big maps, with wide variety of res, including halls, and open areas. Etc.... watch more vids lol. Hopefully ull understand Woot

i think if they had the camera transitioning like that i would get nauseous. i like the way the smart stuff looks. i think a great example of it's implementation can be seen a few times in The End of A Genre As We Know It Developer Diary where he slides past an opening in the concrete barriers and lights up dude standing there and when he's being rushed by a guy charging up the stairs, leaps the railing, turns around, and by the time the guy charging up the stairs reaches the top, he's already been flanked and is getting hit in the back. i don't really see anything wrong with the way they are implementing this. now i'm salivating haha

If yoy are running can you slide into other people, melee them to ko them, or when you run out of ammo it would be cool if you could throw your weapon at them

okay, i got a llittle side tracked but have finally come across the info i was looking for about melee. from one of the devs:

“Rifle butt melee (basically anything but pistols) is a knockdown, same as excessive splash damage.
Meleeing a knocked down player is an instant (kill).
During knockdown you can get up and/or fire.
There's enough of a mind game there to keep it interesting - do you stay down and shoot at your attacker so he doesn't melee you, or do you get up because it looks like he's not going for the melee - he's going to shoot you on the floor instead. Do you go for cover or defend yourself from a finishing move, basically.”

The thing i've been hoping for since seeing the cinematic trailer has got to be a class that can pull out knife kills. Its hopefully in the final game...cause putting a guy who dual wields knives into a starring role of the trailer kinda puts the hope in your head.

pretty sure they're not going to have duel weapons other than when you have a pistol i believe you duel wield a gun and knife similar to how i've seen in mw2. other than pistols though, i believe meleeing is always done with the butt of your weapon.

Maybe, but I hope some characters might be able to pull out a knife. Cause parkour hunting someone down while screaming into the mic that your gonna gut em like a fish would be hilarious.
